INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

ANXIETY.

Everyone experiences worry or a restless night’s sleep from time to time, but for many, anxiety can feel debilitating and significantly impact their daily functioning. For some, it manifests as panic or “anxiety attacks.” For others, it can seem impossible to escape a thought pattern or calm the agitation triggered by a specific setting/situation. Anxiety is part of the human experience, but when it feels unmanageable, people often stop doing things they enjoy and live life unfulfilled. There are ways to cope. Therapy can help.

DEPRESSION.

Moving through day-to-day activities while struggling with low-mood or depression can make the simplest of tasks feel complex and daunting. Things you enjoyed and looked forward to in the past, now seem menial or insignificant. You may find yourself feeling isolated, numb, irritable and helpless. Even though it seems like nothing can pull you out of this space, things can, and often do, get better.

RELATIONSHIP STRUGGLES.

Family. Friends. Colleagues. Lovers.
Relationships on all levels can be difficult and hard to navigate at times. Feeling unheard and misunderstood in interactions with others, can lead to a sense of isolation or being undervalued. When we take time to explore our unmet wants and needs in relationships, we can identify areas of imbalance and better advocate for our own happiness. This can lead to deeper connection and less resentment toward others.

OVERWHELM.

Do you ever feel like you are running on a hamster wheel you can’t stop or get off of? Every time you think you’ve figured out how to manage the never-ending stress, another “to-do” is added to the list or a role to your resume. With each gain in efficiency, you feel at a loss when pushed or asked to do more. Working with a therapist to reestablish healthy and manageable boundaries can help ease the sense of exhaustion and overwhelm.
